Matcha Latte

Matcha is my go to lately. Green tea has so many good health benefits. I am a coffee lover at heart, but matcha is such a gradual dose of caffeine! Less jitters and not such a spike of energy that coffee gives you, which I find better when life already has enough going on! There are many ways to make a matcha latte, this is the blender/vitamix version. I also have a matcha whisk and enjoy making it the more traditional way too. I love the earthy taste of matcha unsweetened, but if you like it sweeter feel free to add some maple syrup or the coconut sugar option below. Enjoy xx


  • Boiling water

  • 1 tsp of coconut butter

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup almond milk

  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder

  • dash of cinnamon


  • 1/4 tsp hemp seeds

  • 1/2 tsp maca powder

  • pinch of coconut sugar


  • Bring water to a boil

  • Add 1 cup boiling water to a blender with coconut butter, vanilla extract, almond milk, and cinnamon. (if you choose add hemp seeds, and any additional sweeteners like coconut sugar at this time)

  • Blend on medium and then add in matcha powder (and maca powder if you wish)

  • Blend on high to get that foam going, and add more hot water for a larger quantity.
